Project of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development - Development of Е-Inspector: Online Business Inspections in North Macedonia, Extension of Support to Inspections Reform

The goal of the project is the complete digitization and automation of the inspection procedure in the state inspectorates, for which it is planned to create 13 new modules for 13 inspectorates, which will help to improve transparency during the implementation of inspection supervision, as well as reducing the chances of corruption during inspection supervision. This project is a continuation of the Pilot project for the automation of the inspection procedure of three inspectorates (SAI, STI and SLI) concluded between MISA and IDEAS DEPO, and financially supported by USAID.

So far, the following has been developed within the project:

  • Gap Analysis for E-Inspector hosting,
  • Technical specification for hosting E-Inspector,
  • Technical specification and tender documentation for the automation of the inspection procedure for 13 inspectorates: State Inspectorate for Agriculture, State Inspectorate for Construction and Urban Planning, State Inspectorate for Education, State Sanitary and Health Inspectorate, State Inspectorate for Transport, State Communal Inspectorate, State Inspectorate for the Environment, State Forestry and Hunting Inspectorate, State Local Government Inspectorate, State Technical Inspection Inspectorate, State Foreign Exchange Inspectorate, Language Use Inspectorate and Food and Veterinary Agency.

The procedure for selecting an IT company that will carry out the development of the 13 new modules for automating the inspection procedure for the 13 inspection services is underway. The public call is implemented by the EBRD.
